We've taken them to the range a couple of times, and played nine holes yesterday. Here's what I think so far. The clubs look great. Quality components, solid construction, good alignments, and no stray expoxy. My girlfriend's odd club lengths check out nicely, too. (Thanks especially for that.) To my untrained eye at least, nothing could be done to improve on your workmanship. The service you offer is great. I really appreciated your willingness to respond promptly to repeated inquiries when I was considering various components, and the fact that you could provide a precise timetable for delivery and then meet it to the day is remarkable. I expected the XPC3 irons with Apache shafts to be about right for me just based on what I'd read, but the actual improvement is hard to believe. I'm hitting them about 25 yards further than my old clubs and a little straighter. Mishits (which I have quite a few of) still get decent distance and go fairly straight; not disasterous as before. The added distance is actually forcing me to rethink my game. (E.g., my three iron now gets about 210 off of the tee, which is longer than the old three wood I had been driving with.) The Super Concorde 5 wood is great too. I've always liked 5 woods, and this one is the best I've hit. Easy off of the fairway or tee, good distance and pretty straight, even though I haven't quite sorted it out yet. I'v#005#e never been able to hit a driver well, and sadly my new Jetstream Tour is no exception. I may wish I had gone with the Axis Tour you recommended, though I suspect that 99% of the problem is in my swing. Drivers are just hard for me to handle. I'll work on it this summer and see what happens. My girlfriend loves her clubs too. She's only been playing a couple of months, and the Jetstream Tour 3 wood makes a great driver for her. Her shots are more consistent than previously. She can't believe how easy the Super Concorde 9 wood is to hit off of the fairway. The consistency of her iron shots with the XPC3s is improved too. It's been great doing business with you. I'm amazed that you can provide such excellent service and workmanship while beating everyone else's prices hands-down. I'm sure you'll be hearing from me again. Thanks for everything. Don Ernst |
